I don’t mass produce my work, all pieces are hand printed, intuitive art works. These printed fabrics can be sown into garments, functional pieces like table clothes, curtains, upholstery material, tents or they can be framed and hung on the wall as fine art. Along with being hand silk-screen printed, the fabrics are hand dyed and hand painted. All pieces are available for purchase. I also take orders. If you’re interested, call me.
I was named a 2020 Heroe and Legend of Osage County by the Osage County Historical Society. I only thought it appropriate to make a superhero cape for the occasion. The cape was in the show: Creativity 2020 exhibit at the Osage Museum.
During the 2020 Covid pandemic I created masks to give away to aid in protecting my friends, family and community.
2019 Hand painted drum for Osage Nation Foundation project called Voices From The Drum which was a collaborative show with 19 other Osage artists who all designed/painted drums made by the Osage artist/drum-maker Rock Pipestem.
2018 Native Treasures Fashion Show, reD to wear Collection in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Marriage of the Earth and Sky People. Shot at Cahokia Mounds, the Marriage Ceremony was inspired by the Osage Creation Story which said that the Osage people now are a result of the intermarriage of Sky People and Earth People. In the shoot, the apparel for the Sky People is made of crystal, mylar, space shuttle glass and eagle feathers while the earth peoples’ apparel is everything one would find Osage people wearing pre-colonial contact: shells, animal hides, and eagle feathers. Both parties are adorned with body paint. All models are members of the Osage Nation.
These are examples of traditional Osage clothes I have made for my family.
If you’re interested in purchasing any jewelry and apparel, give me a call.
I’ve designed 3 Pendleton blankets, 1 for American Indian College Fund in 1996, 1 for the Osage Nation Foundation in 2014 and 1 for Pendleton’s Children blankets series.
